If the students find a ripped page, etc., they are to put the book in a bin labeled with a Red Cross symbol. That gets the books repaired and in good condition before going back out to the patrons. Also, I hAve my oldest students (for me, 4th grade) go through the stacks and straighten books in the last two minutes of class.
